Batik Art Workshop: Creative Expressions With Youth

In an effort to introduce one of Indonesia’s cultural heritages, the International Program of FBE UAJY once again invited international students to participate in the “Batik Art Workshop: Creative Expressions With Youth” activity. Not only did FBE UAJY students join the event, but also international students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Singapore). Currently, FBE UAJY is collaborating with Ngee Ann Poly and Care Channel to provide students with international learning opportunities.

Held on Friday, March 14, 2025, this event was truly engaging. Students, staff, and lecturers of FBE actively took part in creating their own versions of batik.

This proves that creativity knows no bounds. The batik creations were incredibly diverse. So, FBE friends, what kind of batik colors and patterns do you like best?

Hopefully, exciting events like the “Batik Art Workshop: Creative Expressions With Youth” can be held again in the future to help preserve Indonesian culture both within and beyond the FBE UAJY community. Especially to further showcase that batik is a rich cultural expression of Indonesia.
