Hi ! My name is Angela Amelia, and I’m excited to share my incredible journey studying abroad through the 2+2 Dual Degree Program at Nanjing Xiaozhuang University in China. In this university, I majored in International Economics and Trade, gaining valuable knowledge in subjects such as International Finance, Cross-Border E-commerce, International Marketing, International Trade Practice, Simulation of International Trade, Chinese Language, and Chinese Culture, and others. Although studying in China might sound intimidating due to the language, all my courses were conducted in English by highly competent lecturers who made learning both accessible and enjoyable.
The program offered more than just academic learning. We had the opportunity to visit various companies in Hangzhou, including a renowned Chinese noodle factory, a robotics innovation hub, and an electronics manufacturing firm. We also attended China’s largest international trade fair, which welcomed participants from around the world. One of the highlights of my experience was participating in a research and analysis competition alongside both international and Chinese students, where we proudly secured first place. These experiences broadened my perspective on global trade and allowed me to apply classroom theories in real-world settings.
Living in China for two years has been nothing short of transformative. From experiencing all four seasons—blooming cherry blossoms in spring to serene snowfall in winter—to enjoying a wide variety of local cuisine, every day brought something new and exciting. I was also fortunate to build friendships with students from many different countries, expanding my global network and cultural understanding. China’s clean, modern, and high-tech environment, paired with its rich traditions, made my time there truly special. Studying at Nanjing Xiaozhuang University has been an unforgettable chapter of my academic journey, and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone considering the program to take the leap!
